EOTech has released their next model Holographic Weaponsight – the XPS2 & XPS3.  We’ve received our first shipment of the XPS2-0 model, which has the 1 MOA Dot with a 65 MOA ring for quick target pickup.

Shortest model sight yet! This sight is smaller than the former N-cell battery sight (511/551) and runs on a single 123 battery. It also has a longer battery life than the N-cell style sights. Smaller,lighter and always fast with three reticle options. With the new single battery configuration, the XPS allows more rail space than ever, leaving more room for rear iron sights or NV mount.

When EOTech says this is small, they aren’t kidding. It’s tiny and weighs “almost nothing” for an optic – 8.8 oz.  It uses a single 123A style battery, so you’ll have commonality with your SureFire or Inova Inforce weaponlight as well.  Because of the size decrease, it’s even easier to mount the Generation 2 3x magnifier than ever before.

We’ve gotten in a batch of the new Gerber 00137 Covert Automatic knives, and they are BADASS!

Known as the international best-in-class folding technical knives, the Covert family takes another leap forward this year with the addition of the Covert Auto. Our popular Applegate-Fairbairn folder gets quicker with new spring-loaded auto release that rapidly deploys the tactical blade with the push of a button. The addition of this knife is a perfect way to complete a collection, while also having a perfectly balanced auto-opening knife.

First impressions: This is a solid knife! Good heft in the hand, and clearly designed as a worker or heavy use blade.  The knife opens with plenty of force, and the centrally mounted safety is easy to activate / deactivate.  The price is definitely in line with other hard use working knives like the Benchmade 9051SBK and Spyderco Citadel.

Product improved version of the now discontinud 10450 Pika Tanto, the Pika II Tanto features an all weather grip pattern and ergonomic handle design.

The four position pocket clip is designed so the knife disappears when in your pocket for discrete carry.

The 3.50″ blade is made of 9Cr13 Stainless steel and is black coated. The thumbhole allows for easy opening with either hand, whether you are wearing gloves or have long nails.

Chris Reeve Computer Generated Graphic Sebenza’s are EVERYWHERE!

Wow, we’ve got a whole bunch of these!

We’ve gotten in the following 2009 Sebenza 21 Computer Generate Graphic Models:

Another gorgeous, but no longer produced offering, the Computer Generated Graphic Sebenza “Echo” was produced in the 2007 time frame.  This is the standard “Large Sebenza” style that is no longer produced as of 2009.

Continuing an art-form created by Chris Reeve in the mid-1990’s, this range of Computer Generated Graphic designs offers designs to suit a variety of tastes.

CAD/CAM (computer aided drawing/computer aided machining) allows the creation of a graphic, and transfer of the design into a program that can be machined on a CNC milling machine.

The colored graphics are anodized, a process that involves passing an electrical current through the titanium handle, causing a layer of oxide to form on the surface. The desired color is achieved by selecting a specific voltage and the color is simply reflected light, the spectrum splintered.

Found some “New Old Stock” stuff in our warehouse – Large Classic 2000 Sebenza’s with Brown Calfskin Inlays.

As part of my “hey, this would probably sell a lot better if I put pictures up on the website” series, I immediately grabbed one and snapped a shot.  The calfskin is very “money” – it gives the impression of a very expensive automobile.  This is truly a dressy work piece.  The “born on” dating in the package shows these are from 2002.

The Chris Reeve Integral Lock Folder series has long been considered to be the standard to which all other production folders should aspire. Combining excellence in craftsmanship with the latest in materials and quality design, the Sebenza is a rugged workhorse of a knife that has built quite a following.

From Chris Reeve – “…My first impressions of the liner lock style locking mechanisms were very favorable but when I examined it more closely, I decided that I didn’t much like the flimsiness of the thin liner. After some thought, I redesigned the concept and have created the Sebenza Integral Lock© which I believe to be the most rugged folding knife on the market.

The Utilitac is available in 8 configurations – Plain or Partially Serrated Edge, with a Black or Silver Blade, and  Black or Green Handle. The  Green handled models color is a suprise; it’s more of a grass / field green rather than the usual Olive Drab.

The Utilitac Series is another indication from Ontario that they are moving further into the folding knife market by collaborating with custom knifemakers to produce consumer friendly designs.  The Utilitac, like it’s name implies, is a blend of utility & tactical in a solid little package that is certainly easy on the wallet: MSRP is only $50, our price is $35.99.

We’ve added a new headlamp to the product mix here, and after several months of testing I’m pretty impressed!
