Ultimate Survival is alive!

For those familiar with survival equipment, you’ll be happy to know that the Ultimate Survival brand (formerly owned by Survival Inc.) is back in business with a new company – Ultimate Survival Technologies.  This is great news for our military customers, as the JetScream Whistle and StrikeForce Fire Starters have long been favorites with Life Support personnel and anyone putting together a survival kit.

They’ll be introducing new variants of the original black Jet Scream Whistle at the Outdoor Retailer show  – Rescue Orange and Glow-in-the-Dark models, possibly with neck lanyards.

We’re expecting a shipment in of their product shortly, and will be readding the entire product line to our website as soon as we’ve received pricing information.

Kershaw G10 Offsets in stock

Kershaw 1597 G10 OffsetFor those waiting for the Kershaw 1597 G-10 Offset, we’ve had a number of these arrive, and after filling all backorders, there are 4 left available.

Kershaw 1597 OffsetWe also still have around 10 of the original Kershaw 1597 Offset models as well. These were limited run pieces that turned out to be inordinately difficult for Kershaw to machine, resulting in their being discontinued. Supplies limited to quantity on hand

New products & colors from 550 Industries

Based on customer demand, we’ve gotten in some new flavors of the commercial grade 550 parachute cord.  It is now available in:

  • Reflective Commercial Grade: 300 foot spools of black cord, silver tracer threads – new length!
  • Reflective Commercial Grade: 100 foot hanks of Neon Safety Orange, silver tracer threads – new color!
  • Commercial Grade: 100 foot hanks of Neon Safety Orange – new color!

Reflective 550 cord is a great way to increase visibility when making lanyards, zipper ties, or other applications.  During daylight, the silver tracer thread looks subdued, but when a light is shined on, the reflection is amazing.   Neon Orange Reflective 550 cord takes this to the next level.

Pictures will be added ASAP.

Remember, when buying 550 cord you need to pay attention: unless it meets MIL-C-5040H Type III specifications, it’s commercial grade 550 cord.  The military specification 550 cord is more expensive for a reason, it has certain weave, material & abrasion specifications that must be met.  Commercial “550” style cord does not.
