Product Updates: Cold Steel Ti-Lite Series

Reminiscent of 1950’s styled switchblades, our Ti-Lite® tactical folders, echo the swift lines of memorable classics.

Legal to carry almost everywhere, the VG-1 Stainless steel blades feature razor sharp edges and sturdy, needle sharp points.

The handles, made of forged Titanium, are available with our original finish or with a polished, blue anodized finish. They have been CNC milled for a visually appealing look, and for maximum strength and safety, we have equipped our Ti-Lites® with full length Titanium leaf spring locks (proven, in our tests, to hold 100 lbs).

Custom quality folding knives, especially those manufactured with Titanium handles and Titanium leaf spring locks are undeniably strong, lightweight, and beautiful to look at, but they’re also quite expensive.

We know that many of our customers love the look of our Ti-Lites® but find the prices a little steep. So we have created some very affordable alternatives. The Zytel® Ti-Lite® with a 4 inch blade mimics the look of its more expensive counterparts almost exactly, and our model that features a six inch blade is a completely unique Ti-Lite,® virtually in a class by itself.

The Vaquero® Series folders all feature our distinctive “S-Curve” clip point blade style. They are precision flat ground to form a long, shallow “V” shaped cross section. This is ideal for shearing through thick, fibrous materials such as manila rope, cable, hose, belts, etc. The serrated edges form a sinuous double curve. This means that whatever material is struck with the inward curving portion of the edge (near the hand) will automatically force the remaining curved edge entirely through.

Designed for fire fighters and gloved hands, with textured Zytel® scales, the Carson Flipper, and the AutoLAWKS™ safety.

The new M16 ® Fire Department Zytel® models are designed to meet the special requirements of those in fire fighting. For strength, we use our rigid InterFrame build with 42 0J2 stainless steel liners. Scales are injection-molded Fire Engine Red Zytel, which is a tough, strong composite of fiberglass and nylon designed to handle the worst abuse. The scales are textured for good grip in wet conditions.

This is an aluminum frame M16 with all the features of our gray-handled M16s, but in desert camo. The contoured handles of textured, 6061 T6 aluminum are hard anodized Desert Tan. The 3.875” (9.8 cm) AUS 8 stainless steel blade, chosen for edge retention and durability, receives a highly corrosion-resistant Desert Tan non-reflective titanium nitride coating.
