The Benchmade 112 H2O Fixed Blade Dive Knife was designed with waterborne operations in mind. Civilian divers will want the high visibility yellow handle (112S-YEL) for easy identification if the knife is dropped, while a black handle version (112S-BLK) is available for the military / tactical market.
The 112S has a 3.5" blade made of ultra stainless N680 steel for use in the harshest of salt water environments. The sheepsfoot blade makes this knife a great choice when working in rescue operations - the lack of a point means that the knife can be used safely around inflatables or cutting trapped personnel free from restricting materials. The blunt tip can also be used as a prying device. The back of the knife blade has a hook for cutting lines, webbing, or fabric safely.
The handle of the Benchmade 112S Diving Knife is Hi-Tact Rubberized Overmold, with both fingergrooves and high traction areas built in for secure retention in the worst conditions. A lanyard attachment hole is present for secondary retention devices. Each knife comes with a molded thermoplastic sheath with thumb release retention. The sheath allows for versatile mounting options via strap, lashing cord or other methods and is ambidextrous. It is equally at home on a PFD, MOLLE vest or divers arm / calf.
