Benchmade first started making knives in 1987, and this knife is named for that historic year. Benchmade's new titanium handle balisong, the 87, has a 4.5" Japanese inspired wharncliffe blade made of CPM-S30V stainless steel. Each handle piece is made from a single piece of billet titanium.
