The 5400 Serum series is a double action AXIS automatic that can be opened via thumbstud or AXIS Automatic opening.

An unconventional design from Benchmade, the 5400 Serum uses the AXIS® dual-action mechanism - the knife can be opened via thumbstuds or using the AXIS automatic action. This knife is recommended for EDC use, law enforcement or military personnel.

The Benchmade 5400 Serum features a 3.47" modified drop point blade made of 154CM stainless steel, hardened to 58-60HRC. It is available with either a plain or partially serrated edge, in either Satin or BK Coated Black finish.

Black Machined G10 Handle scales ensure a solid grip despite environmental challenges.

Reversible, tip up pocket clip included.

How to Use

Manual Opening: Use thumbstuds to rotate knife blade to open position; open until AXIS lock engages. Automatic Opening: Pull AXIS lock rearward until automatic opening mechanism activates. You will feel increased resistance prior to activation. Closing: Grip knife with two hands, making sure to keep all fingers away from knife edge. Pull AXIS lock mechanism to the rear. With other hand, close knife blade, again making sure that nothing is between edge and handle.
